It's a low cost, and slow combination of both United Parcel Service (UPS) and United States Postal Service (USPS). For faster shipping, select a higher rate which may be offered. The way Sure Post works, is a partnership of UPS and the Postal Service. UPS comes to us daily to pick up their regular branded UPS packages, and they also pick up these orders from us as well. But most of these Sure Post packages soon get transferred from UPS to USPS for USPS to make what is referred to as the “final mile” delivery. And all what delays they might incur along the way while in their hands which they are notorious for. So even though it seems like a UPS service, you might not have a brown UPS truck arrive, it would be your usual mail carrier who would in most cases be the one to deliver your package. You will not see this type of shipping method offered on orders which contain chemicals such as Isopropyl Alcohol. Meaning, we cannot ship hazardous items via SurePost. So while this offering helps introduce a slightly lower cost for dry goods, it doesn't benefit the buyers of Isopropyl Alcohol and it isn't offered on orders which contain Isopropyl Alcohol.

This optional coverage is offered at checkout for a small fraction of your cart value; it usually costs around a dollar for most orders. The exact cost for the purchase protection will be displayed during checkout. Look for the “Route” insurance toggle in your cart to see the calculated price for your order. One of the great things about Route is that they cover you if your package is stolen after it's been reported as delivered. The carriers do not cover missing packages after they say they deliver them but Route will. It also covers you if items are lost or damaged during transit. If you wish to add this protection to your order, just shop our website as usual, add whichever item(s) to your cart, and be sure to turn on “Add Route+” from within your cart, before you press the “Checkout” button.
